The movement teacher that I work with, Debra Wanner, came up with the great concept of a song about a toy museum where kids can be the toys. Her movement ideas provided the basis for this song.
The toys are at the toy museum
Where all the boys and girls can see ’em
The toys are at the toy museum
We’re going to play with the toys
Bats and birds and airplanes too
We’ll fly through the air just the way
that they do
All the way to the toy museum
We’re going to play with the toys.
Toys toys toys, for the girls and boys
Start to make some noise
The toys are at the toy museum…
Three-legged creatures and crocodiles too
We’ll crawl around just the way that they do
All the way to the toy museum
We’re going to play with the toys
Toys toys toys, for the girls and boys
Start to make some noise
Toys are at the toy museum
Zebras and horses and children too
We’ll gallop and skip just the way that they do
All the way to the toy museum
We’re going to play with the toys
Toys toys toys for the girls and boys
Start to make some…
