I wrote this for a school play when I was still teaching pre-school music. It had such a nice sentiment that I thought I would include it.

Can you imagine, can imagine
living without trees?
Every time you shop one down,
One less tree grows in the ground
Think about tomorrow, please

Can you imagine, can you imagine
Living without trees?
That’s where birds build their nests,
Where their babies eat and rest
Think about tomorrow please!

‘Cause if you take the trees away
You won’t have the chance to say
“It’s so cool and shady here”
Living things all have their place
And humans take up so much space
I think that we could learn to share

Can you imagine, can you imagine
Living without trees?
Oxygen is what they give, that’s what
People need to live
Think about tomorrow please
Think about tomorrow please

What would we do without trees?
(One More)
How could we live without trees?
(All right)
